Introduction
To meet the new OGP Guidelines, IADC has developed a Well Control Awareness course, designed for non-technical personnel involved in the drilling process. This is course is currently offered as a 4-hour in class training course.

Designed For
The IADC WellSharp well control awareness course is aimed at students and graduates, personnel with secondary involvement in well operations, office based staff or third parties involve in non-critical rig operations.
Course Delivery
Courses are not currently offered online. A customized 4 hour awareness course can be offered at our Western and Eastern Canada facilities for groups of 6 or more.
The training is delivered through the traditional classroom format, with lectures, videos, and classroom exercises. The course can include a knowledge test and even an introduction to the simulator to consolidate learning but does not include a formal assessment.
Certification
Successful completion of the course will result in an IADC WellSharp Awareness certificate which is valid for life and does not need to be repeated or renewed.
